Visual Identity
Year:
2023
Lechera was created in my packaging and display course in the Spring of 2023. The objective was to design a branded product collection of 6+ items and an appropriate in-store display. I decided to create a vegan dairy company that prides itself in being organic, sustainable, and women-owned. The personality is spirited, youthful, and approachable. This considered, the target audience is hip environmentalists of all ages looking for a delicious and seriously clean alternative to dairy products.
The final product assortment includes unsweetened oat milk, vanilla bean oat milk, chocolate oat milk, cultured cashew butter, almond cream cheese and coconut yogurt.

A Playful Identity
The hand-drawn milk woman character is intentionally placed on top of the wordmark. This placement is meant to draw the eyes of the viewer towards her hands, which hold the main ingredient in each product. The character also complements the wordmark and gives the brand a flexible visual element to be used on other design deliverables.
In a category that often uses subdued colors and simple design elements, the color scheme and milkwoman character are purposely more playful, quirky and youthful.
